North Yorkshire’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner - Public Accountability meeting

Julia Mulligan, North Yorkshire’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner, is asking for people to get involved in her next monthly public accountability meeting, live from 1:30pm on Tuesday 26 January. The meeting will focus on how the police manage offenders and how the fire service manage calls and respond to incidents. It will also provide the opportunity for questions about these topics. Public accountability meetings are broadcast live online with members of the public invited to send in their comments before or during the session. The meeting on Tuesday 26 January, will start at 1.30pm and will focus on:

  • North Yorkshire Police – Offender Management An insight into North Yorkshire Police’s approach to assessing and managing the risk of the most persistent and dangerous offenders in our community
  • North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service – Response and Control An insight into North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s approach to call handling and response times to incidents.

As well as watching the live broadcast, you are also invited to ask your questions, relevant to the discussion, during the meetings via Twitter by including #NYscrutiny in your tweet. Commenting on the public meetings, Julia said: “These meetings give members of the public and staff the opportunity to understand the performance of both services and hear what they are doing to keep us safe and feeling safe. “I encourage everyone to join in and watch, and if you have a question, please ask it.” Agenda
